I have a 3 yr old son who is growing so fast that I am buying new clothes and shoes every few months. And toys seem to become "obsolete" even faster!
Most times, I either just put the "old" clothes/shoes/toys in the closet, or offer them to his cousins who are a little younger than he is.
I started thinking, what about folks who don't have other family members who can take the items, or conversely, who can offer such items? Well, the internet can bring people together to discuss/share ideas so it might serve to help share things that one family may have outgrown but another may find quite useful.
So, if you've got things cluttering up your closet, why not extend a helping hand to other single parents who may need such help in the short term.
And if you're a single parent who may be going through some tough times, don't be afraid or ashamed to ask for help! We all need a helping hand at some point in our lives.
JUST SOME RULES:
1. Please do not offer or ask for money.
2. Please consider geography and shipping costs.
3. Please consider condition of the items if you are offering (i.e try to be as descriptive as possible..or post a pic)
Thank you!
