Single Parents: Child Education It is sometimes hard for working single parents to feel involved in the daily school activities of their children. But it is vital to the well-being of our children. High-quality education for young children improves their health and promotes their development and learning. And education, particulary at early ages, includes all of a child’s experiences at home, in child care, and in other preschool settings. There are many ways for parents to get involved in education. Discuss it with other parents to share ideas and experiences.

Default when did u start reading to ur child?

just curious when everyone started reading to their children. my baby is 2 and i started reading to her when she was 1. i know she didnt undrstand but i did it just to get her used to words. i think its especially important for single parents because our children don't get to hear the parents talking to each other.

I have read to my son while he was still in the womb! It is such a great activity and so much better than just letting them watch tv.

I started reading to my daughter when she was an infant. She is now 4 and loves books!! She loves to be read to and likes to pretend she is reading herself.

I began reading to my daughter when she was still in the womb as well!
She now LOVES books and will not play with her toys just to read books. She will sit and "read" a book close to 15 min and she's only a year old!
